tracings: a creative walk
Join Winona based dance/visual artist Sharon Mansur for “tracings: a creative walk” at Memorial Park on Wednesday, Aug 2nd at 5:30 PM!! This is a guided group stroll that honors walking as both an everyday shared experience, and the artistic expression of tracing a line through a landscape to honor that place. You are invited to engage in the physical act of walking through breath and body sensing, and encouraged to explore and respond to your surroundings through observations, discussion, collecting found objects, sketching and/or photography. Experience the joy of slowing down, and being in community. Appreciate and be inspired by beautiful, subtle details of this place and your physical experience outdoors that might be overlooked in daily life.
This will be an easy walk on a paved path suitable for adult walkers of all levels, and handicapped accessible as well. We will make frequent stops along the way to engage with nature and explore our senses and take about one hour total. Please wear suitable clothing and shoes, and bring a bottle of water. Other supplies will be provided. This will be a small group experience so advanced registration will be required. (Click here for the Registration link)
