Why would you want to have or make zines?
Zines are a form of self-publishing and culture building in and around community. The artist residency of Brian-Paco (B-P) features zines with poetry and rants that B-P often performs on stage or individually. Join us for an evening of getting to understand zines, learn their history and then try your hand at expressing yourself creatively through zines!
7:00 PM: Presentation on Zines: What Are They and What They Mean to You, the history of Zines and different types of Zines with Brian-Paco, Oak and Josh! Following the presentation ill be a Q&A session!
7:30 PM: Zine Making / Artist Helps
The Next day during The YES! House Open Hours, On Wednesday, January 10th, 10 AM - 2 PM, join Brian-Paco for more Zine Making / Artist Helps! This will give an opportunity for those who were not able to make it to create their own Zine, or for those who want to keep working on them!
