Moving with Ease: A Movement Workshop with Sharon Mansur

Moving with Ease: A Movement Workshop with Sharon Mansur

Open to all levels of movement experience, this class by Winona based dance/interdisciplinary artist Sharon Mansur is geared towards adult movers of all ages. Sharon draws from yoga, qi gong, dance and everyday movement to support a space of relaxation, creativity, play and being present in the moment. The beginning portion of class will include breath awareness, relaxation and mindfulness while sitting and/or lying down, then slowly moving into gentle yoga poses and qi gong based energy work. This will be followed by simple and fun dance and pedestrian movements to warmup and loosen up body and mind while standing and moving through space with one another. Brief cool-down and class discussion to finish and transition into the evening.
